Follow these steps when you require editing access to an existing website and do not know whom to contact.

Go to the website for which you required editing access.

Scroll to the bottom of a page on the website.

In the footer, under the site's name and address you will see a link for "contact". The label may differ between the sites, but are always prepended with "Contact..". For example, "Contact Web Manager", or "Contact Program Coordinator".

Clicking the contact link in the footer will open a model window with form fields to submit your request directly to the owner of the website and if not the owner, to someone who can direct your request appropriately.

Important: Please be sure to include the following in the comments section of the form for a timely response:

  1. The web address (URL) of the website you are requesting access.
  2. Name of individuals requiring access.
  3. UVA user ID. Everyone needing access must have a valid network user id.
  4. Reason for needing access.

Once submitted, you will see confirmation that your request has been sent.

The site owner will reply to the email address you provided in the form with further instruction.
