Add site supporting content along with contact information to your site's footer.

Note: The following is available for individuals who have Site Owner access to the site. Site Editors will need to consult with the site owner.

The footer is located at the bottom of every page of your website. It contains areas for:

  1. copyright and legal information,
  2. a link to login for web editors,
  3. the name of the sponsoring department or program (site name), physical mailing address, phone number, and email (editable by the site owner),
  4. extra areas where additional links or content can be included (optional) and,
  5. a bottom navigation bar with links to other areas of the Health System.

How to Update Site Name, Address, Telephone Number, Email and/or Email Label

Click the link labeled "Site Owner Tools" located under the Editor Login in the Footer of your site.

You will see two options:

  1. Add Editor
  2. Contact Form - this is where you will control the contact information that appears in the Footer.

  1. Contact Name: This label populates the email link. "Contact" is prepended to the label. If this is left blank, the default label is "Contact Us". The link defaults to a form called "Global Contact Form".
  2. Address: single line for street address
  3. City, State, Zip: share the same line
  4. Phone Number: Please ensure to include area code. Following the UVA Health Brand, phone numbers should be listed as: 434.925.0000
  5. Email: This is required and will populate a form (Global Contact Form) with this email. Multiple email addresses need to be separated by a comma (,). When a user submits the form, the data will be sent to the email address(es).

How to Add a "Call to Action" Tab to the Footer and Ever-present on Scroll

An example of the tab:

In the Contact Form under the heading Footer Tab Settings:

Display Footer Tab: Yes will turn it on and will match the color of your footer's border. If your site has an UVA orange border - the tab color will be UVA orange.

You can choose to leave the Footer Tab Label and Tab Form Name blank. If blank, the label will read "Send Us Feeback" and link to your site's Global Contact Form. When users submit the form, the data will be send to the email address(es) listed above in the Email field.

You can also overwrite the default label and associated form.

  1. Footer Tab Label: It should be a short label. The width of the tab will expand on a single line to accommodate for the number of characters. For example, if you want to call users attention to register for an upcoming training session, you can label the form, "Register for Training".
  2. You'll first need to create the form you'll want to use instead of the Global Contact Form". Follow instructions for creating a form. Once the form is created, add the name you gave the form to connect the form to the Footer Tab.
