The HIT Desktop Engineering team designs and builds all desktop, laptop, and tablet images. The images are designed to provide efficient, reliable, and secure access to over 200 key Health System software applications and systems.

In addition to crafting the Health System PC desktop images, we also develop scripting tools to configure, manage, and support desktops. Operating system and software applications updates are pushed to over 14,000 PCs via automated systems management tools. We also set desktop computing hardware and software standards, providing Health System staff with a wide range of computing tools for patient care and business support.

For a complete listing of HIT Desktop Software and Hardware standards, please see HIT Desktop Computing Standards.
