HIT services offered to Laboratory customers and to support Laboratory information technology.

Help Desk
The Lab Systems Engineering Helpdesk is the single point of contact for customers requesting Lab-related IT services and support. As the level-one provider of IT support for the Medical Laboratories, the Lab Systems Engineering Helpdesk resolves or escalates requests to the on-call clinical applications analyst or the manager of Lab Systems Engineering.

Laboratory Crystal Reports
Using Crystal Reports, Lab Systems Engineering can produce reports from data contained within both the laboratory and anatomic pathology information systems to provide end users with meaningful information that may, otherwise, be unseen.

Laboratory IT Business Analysis and Systems Engineering
Lab Systems Engineering can be involved to help guide the procurement process as it relates to interfacing, networking, and/or business associate addendums and other security concerns. Based on declared need, the department will work collaboratively with clinical staff to identify issues and assess the extent to which IT may be leveraged so as to make processes more efficient and/or effective.

Medical Laboratories Application Support and Administration
Laboroatory-related applications and systems are routinely monitored to ensure proper functioning of systems and interfaces. The systems supported include Sunquest Lab, CoPath, Data Innovations, WAM, Atlas, Rapidcomm, and RALS.

Medical Laboratories Desktop Management and Support
The Medical Laboratories Desktop Management and Support service provides assistance for lab-related desktop systems, laptops, and PDAs.

Medical Laboratory Network Connectivity Support
Assist customers with IP address assignment, port activations and connectivity testing.
