How do I enroll in MobileIron?

Simply enroll your device by following the instructions on our Mobile Device Technologies page. 

Do I need to be on-site to set up MobileIron?

You do not need to be on-site to set up MobileIron. MobileIron can be setup via cellular network or any internet connection. 

Will MobileIron track my location?

UVA Health does not collect any location information from your device.

If I enroll in MobileIron will you be able to see my personal information?

MobileIron does not have the ability to obtain or view any of your personal information, such as your voicemail, texts, photos, email, etc. The only information visible to UVA Health is MobileIron and the policies that come with it.

I no longer want/need my personal device managed by UVA Health IT, how can I remove MobileIron?

If you no longer need access to UVA Health resources on your mobile device, call the HIT Help Desk 924-5334 to retire your device from UVA Health Management. This is only possible for personally owned devices. 

I have a new Sprint / T-Mobile phone. Can I just swap my SIM card from my old phone to the new one?

No. This is not possible with Sprint network phones. You must contact T-Mobile and have them move your phone number to your new device. Call our dedicated T-Mobile Team @ 423-497-1785 and give them our activation PIN 4667 and they will quickly take care of it for you.
