IV Pump Replacement Project (Phase 2)

  • Description: Phase II: Bi-directional integration with Epic EMR (Connectivity to CPOE, Automated programming of pumps by EPIC, automatic documentation of medication administration via the IV pumps, etc.)

NVA Radiology Tranisition to UVA-Foundation Radiology Group

  • Unit/Area(s): HIT, Radiology

  • Description: Transition radiologist services from Northern Virginia's Radiology provider, Virginia Radiology Associates (VRA) to either UVA (for women’s breast imaging initially and eventually other subspecialties) or Foundation Radiology Group to allow these radiologists to analyze, read and report in all radiology specialties in the Northern Virginia Radiology (excluding MedQuest sites not in scope) market including Culpeper.

Outpatient Procedure Center

  • Description: This project supported the build out of the Outpatient Procedure Center (OPC) to meet existing and future demand. The Medical Center executive team approved the renovation of the former Outpatient Surgery Center on Monroe Lane for 5 procedure rooms and 20 recovery bays. Procedures previously performed at the Battle Building and outsourced to Monticello Outpatient Surgery Center were relocated to the OPC.

PeopleSoft/EPIC Phase 2 Integration

  • Description: Integrate the PeopleSoft system to work with the upgrades being put into place for EPIC Phase 2. This includes development, testing and UAT review for all units/parties involved to allow a seamless transition into Go Live for EPIC Phase 2.

QSight for New Outpatient Endoscopy Center

  • Description: Coordinate the implementation of the Owens & Minor QSight Supply Chain application with the opening of a new outpatient Endoscopy Center, and prepare for its integration with Epic Phase II changes.

Real Time Location Services (RTLS) Needs Analysis

  • Unit/Area(s): Health System Enterprise

  • Description: Manage hired consultant(s) conducting needs analysis for the use of RTLS across the entire Health System, including documenting current state and providing a list of recommended next steps.

Tale Transfer Program with Culpeper

  • Unit/Area(s): HIT, Telemedicine, Emergency Services, Medical Subspecialties, Post-Acute Care, SOM, UPG
  • Project Management Lead: Steve Prevost
  • Description: This is a pilot project between Culpeper Regional Medical Center and UVA Health System to use telemedicine technology to aid in the patient transfer process. This technology will enable physicians at UVA and at Culpeper to meet with the patient and the patient’s family via virtual technology (a mobile cart with a video capabilities) to better assess the patient’s clinical status and appropriateness for transfer.

ACC PFA Cancer Center

  • Description: The purpose of this project is to bring a unified solution to the cancer clinics scheduling departments and provide our patients with a simplified, efficient scheduling experience It will also allow UVa to Once completed, all Call Centers/Call Groups will have a unified solution managing and recording their call centers/groups and will be provided with the tools and reports necessary to provide excellent customer service to their customers (patients, providers, family members of patients, etc.).

Health System Consolidated Financial Reporting System

Radiology v12 PACS Upgrade

Crimson Medical Group Advantage

  • Description: Implementation of the Advisory Board’s web-based Crimson Medical Group Advantage (CMGA) business intelligence tool to provide members of the UPG executive team with the analytics, reporting, and tracking capabilities to:
    • Capture enterprise-wide productivity, revenue cycle, and patient access performance
    • Capture individual provider performance metrics as compared to the rest of the enterprise as well as other health systems
    • Access and track key performance metrics on demand

Paceart Optima Upgrade

  • Description: The Medtronic Paceart® System organizes and archives data for cardiac devices across manufacturers and serves as a central repository for a patient's arrhythmia information. The Paceart System serves as a gateway through which data flows from programmers and remote monitoring systems to a clinic's electronic health record (EHR) system.
